At Harbour Pointe Preparatory Academy, we believe strong school-to-home communication builds trust and helps every student succeed. Families are our partners, and we work to ensure you are informed, supported, and connected to your child’s learning.


How We Communicate

  • FOCUS Parent Portal: Access grades, attendance, test results, and teacher feedback in real time.
  • School Calendar: Updated regularly with key dates, events, and reminders.
  • Newsletters: Families receive a weekly or monthly digital newsletter with school updates, highlights, and upcoming events.
  • Email & Text Alerts: Urgent announcements (such as weather closures or safety updates) are sent directly to parent contact information on file.
  • Classroom Communication: Teachers may use email, DOJO, Google Classroom, or other approved tools to share assignments and updates.

Two-Way Communication

We encourage families to stay in touch with us:

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences: Scheduled each semester, with additional meetings available upon request.
  • Office Hours: Parents can contact teachers or administrators by email or phone during office hours.
  • Family Surveys: Periodically, we seek input from parents to improve our programs and services.

Staying Involved

  • Families can find important updates on our website and through official school social media channels.
  • Notices sent home with students will include time-sensitive information; please check backpacks regularly.
  • Parent organizations and volunteer opportunities are also ways to stay connected to school life.
